Linux Hosted Shared Virtual Desktops
Red Hat Linux and SUSE Linux virtual machine desktops can now be delivered using XenApp and XenDesktop architecture from a single virtual instance, in the same way XenApp can deliver multiple sessions of Windows Server 2012.
VM Hosted Apps
Uses a separate virtual machine where applications are installed and then accessed using XenApp. This can be used in areas where applications are incompatible with later versions of Windows and require older versions such as Windows XP.
HDX Mobile
HDX Mobile technology optimizes connections from mobile devices to XenApp and XenDesktop infrastructure. From improving network connectivity, graphics/multimedia compression to integrating with device features such as GPS.
Citrix HDX RealTime Optimization Pack
Optimizes the delivery of voice, video and collaboration features of Skype for Business, Lync and Office 365.
Custom Delegated Administration
Administration tasks can be delegated to different administrator roles, allowing control of defining exactly how much a particular type of administrator can manage in Citrix Studio.
Configuration Logging
By enabling configuration logging, configuration changes to published applications and desktops can be monitored, ensuring IT are aware when changes were made and who made the changes.
Hybrid Cloud provisioning
Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) can be utilized, allowing desktops to be deployed into the cloud from the Citrix Studio infrastructure.
Microsoft Azure integration
Workloads from XenApp and XenDesktop can be provisioning into the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, to provide Hybrid Cloud capability.
Amazon Web Services integration

Central image management of XenApp Servers
By using Provisioning Server, a master image can be developed and used to create further XenApp servers, identically to the master image. Saving time on deployment of XenApp servers.

By using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), pooled desktops and server images can be managed as well as utilising SCCM’s tools and reporting.
